This kind of thing makes me crazy. That parents are so anxious to program their kids that they buy these toys is just beyond me.
Gender socialization starts waaaaayy too early.
I always let my kids choose. My girls choose the tool bag as often as they pick the purse. It’s interesting the programming that goes on at such an early age. I wonder if this kind of gender socialization at so early an age could be responsible for the insecurities that plague so many teens.
