In Texas, they want concealed weapons on college campuses.

Pre-frontal lobes, that help you make quick decisions IN CONTEXT, where we process such things as consequence, compassion and responsibility aren’t fully developed until near the end of a student’s college years.
Consider that student loan defaults are on the rise, and students feel the pressure of our current recession.
So having a bunch of gun-toting Texans who can’t decide the proper context of the moment in the ‘one in a million’ school shooting seems a bit OVER-REACHING, even for the gun lobby.
Yet, according to Yahoo! News:
There are several bills in the Texas Legislature that would allow licensed concealed gun carriers to take their weapons to school.
Supporters say the bills would protect the rights of those licensed to carry concealed weapons and help prevent a massacre on the scale of what happened at Virginia Tech and another shooting last year at Northern Illinois University, where five were killed and 18 wounded.
Opponents say that if guns are allowed on campus, students and faculty will live in fear of classmates and colleagues, not knowing who might pull a gun over a drunken dorm argument or a poor grade.
Of the 150 House members, 70 have signed on in support of Drivers’ bill. In the Senate, 12 of 31 senators signed in support of Wentworth’s bill.
Hmmm. No.
I’m going with the idea that all this is being pushed by the gun lobbies who are worried that they’ll lose business. According to the Marin IJ, concern that the Obama administration could impose a new ban on some semiautomatic weapons is driving worried gun owners to stockpile ammunition and cartridge reloading components at such a rate that manufacturers can’t meet demand.
So we’ve got semi-automatics being purchased at record-breaking paces and now students with concealed weapons on college campuses?
That’s SO AMERICAN.
Education? Not so much of a concern.
Weapons rights? Yes, by god almighty. Weapons.

How do you think you come across? You sound like a very uneducated, way over opinionated, afraid of guns, Obama loving, MORON! You have no idea what you are talking about. Gun toten Texans are not the problem. Idiots that like to start trouble, much like terrorists, are the problem. Us gun toten Texans will atleast be able to protect ourselves against such ignorance, like Obama followers.
I have no problem with fellow classmates who go through the proper training and licensing carrying guns to school. I’m much more afraid of criminals and wackjobs carrying guns to school, and no law can prevent that. Let’s keep our heads on.
